1. Recently picked up an ESP B-416 6-String bass.
2. The stock strings SUCK.
3. I want flatwounds.
4. According to a google-search, the strings that come with it are standard gauge (125/105/85/65/45/30).
5. Labella shows a set of flatwounds for 6-string in standard gauge on their website, but I can't actually find them anywhere on the internet for purchase. http://www.labella.com/products/760fs-cb/
6. However, bass strings online does have the "Medium" gauge variant, which are 128/109/89/69/49/29 http://www.bassstringsonline.com/La-...Set_p_221.html
Question: I'm not aware of anyone in my area that works on basses, and don't really feel comfortable messing around with the nut myself. If I get this set of strings that are .003 bigger, will the nut have to be adjusted, or is that just kooky-talk?
