Any affordable and reliable luthiers in nyc?

Hello, this is my very first post on theese forums. I justo bought a Mim jazzbass from GC, and after following the fender setup (except the micro tilt adjustment) i still get an annoying buzz on the G string. It seems to come near the nut, but i cant see it actually hitting the frets. I left a .013 relief and used the strings that came with the instrument.
So my questions are theese: could the micro til adjustment aliviate the problem? Or do I need to take it to a luthier to get my frets leveled?
Most luthtiers seem pricey around here, most going for more than a hundred bucks. Anyone knows an affordable and reliable one around manhattan?
Tx for your commenta/help
