Any decent luthiers in Montreal?

Sign in to disble this ad
I would like to get a setup done on my Geddy Lee. Can anyone recommend a decent luthier in Montreal? I stay away from Steve's Music because I got screwed there once.

Thanks

Good Luthier

Check out www.montrealcustomguitars.com. The owner and operator is Stephane Denis. After having been dicked around or else gotten crap setups by people at two of Montreal's major stores, I had my p-bass set up by Stephane. Good guy, straight up, knows his stuff, and charges fair prices. Bit of a hike out to his place, but worth it.

Here's a paste from his website:

Hi,

Try Lutherie MF on Guizot street between St-Laurent and St-Denis. Great guys and very professional. They also build instruments. They definitely know what they do.

If you're looking for a luthier in Montreal, Pierre Laporte is one of the city's best. You can find his number under the name Laporte & Courchesne.
