I have them on a Fender P and haven't noticed any change of sound or dead spots that weren't there before. And they are excellent tuners.

So Hip Ultralights weight 44 grams? So the lightest turners actually belong to Gotoh, the GB35 (35 grams), that is half of the weight of the GB7 (70grams)

which set of Ultralights are you quoting the weight for - the 3/8" keys or the 1/2" keys? I believe they weigh differently largely due to the ferrule size
