What are you modifying in your rig...post your mods, and any questions you need assistance on...
I'm totally on a modding kick:
Aria Pro II, in pieces awaiting Bill Lawrence J-45...redid all the controls (project bass) have two separate pot configs
250k/250k/250k
and
500k/500k/500k
Gonna make the final decision for myself....
Samick Fairlane....redid all controls, awaiting Geddy Lee Sig Pups....
Dean....considering going passive with Bartolinis
So what are you modding?...need any help?, show pics if you got em...I'll post later

I'm also looking at either the Audere JZ3 preamp or the Bass Stack Knobs modification next. Probably the Audere as I think it will compliment the active eq better on my P-bass lyte? Oh yes! and a Hipshot drop tuner too at some point when money permits

1. replace 1 piece white pickguard w/ either a b/w/b or tortoise guard
2. Install a control plate and Jazz Bass knobs
3. Add a neck pickup cover
Then I am thinking about:
1. Badass Bridge (the one I have rattles a bit)?
2. Replacing pickups w/ Nordstrands or DiMarzios?
3. Adding an Aguilar preamp (although I am not sure I want to rout, add a batter compartment, etc)?
4. Swapping out tuners for better ones?

Badass II bridge, Brass nut, Grover tuners, and polyurethaned the neck. I bought a white pearloid pickgaurd but don't like the look of it on this bass.
Considering a pickup change but would like to keep it passive. Too many choices! |

Currently in pieces, friend has the body trying to get the black cracked and bruised finish off which is turning out to be a nightmare and a half, and he's a pro autobody guy!
Will be painted a metallic blue from Hyundai line of cars but with more metallic to it (trying to get Steve Harris blue from the 80s)
Mods will be - Quarter Pounder, BadAss II, Steve Harris Flatwounds, and a chrome pickguard.
Pics once I get the body back.. hes trying to have the "dirty work" done this weekend...
