Anybody Use Flashing/Termite Shield for Body Cavities?

Has anybody used 3 oz. copper flash-guard instead of the copper tape for shielding body cavities?

I've been bumming my construction buddies for some for quite awhile but they never seem to have any. The stuff is just so expensive. I'm sure it would be great. Even the aluminum flashing should work. Flashing is paper thin and easy to shape and cut.

It is kind of expensive. I bought a roll of it for $50 at Home Depot and I'm debating whether to return it and just order the tape from Stew-Mac.
