I have my bass at the shop for a setup, precision tune, and restring and since it's been gone I've been like a nervous little kid on Christmas eve! I'm constantly watching my phone waiting for them to call and tell me "she's ready to come home now" hahaha. Its only been a little over a day, just goes to show how bad of a bass junkie I am I guess.

Anyone else get nervous or excited when. Their bass is away at "camp"?

Yes for the reason why I am nervous now: It's gone, lost.

I recently shipped a bass back to the manufacturer to get the electronics looked at and now Fedex has gone and lost it for me. They are being less than helpful and it looks like this superbly playing bass is gone for good, along with a pickup that is discontinued. Even recently just having my bass sit in the repair shop for 20 minutes while they did something I didn't have a tool for I was biting my nails. I guess this is why I learn to fix things myself and don't go to repair shops much, I'm a nervous nanny.

Ouch. That's just sad. I'd hate to have to send away any of my basses to another city or state by mail. Hell, if they can lose my rent payment... they'll probably lose my bass! I hope you get it back soon.

I'm still pretty new to all of this. Only been playing about a year, and haven't started thinking setup until about 2 months ago when my Ernie ball strings went dead. I made the switch to DR Low riders and decided to downtune to B E A D on my 4 string ESP, Which means a new custom filed nut and a whole other world on neck relief. The place is only open for 4 hours today and I'm hoping they call... but probably not.

OMG! Yes, my main player is at Pat Wilkin's ( CA is a long way from Buffalo!) for a new purple suit. And he uses FEDEX.. AAAGHHH. Joel you got me on pins-n-needles! Good luck to you man. I'm going to have Pat insure it for the full boat plus. I miss my main passive bass big time.

At least its not through DHL haha, they tend to leave packages at the end of the driveway if they feel your driveway is too long of a walk for them! They deliver on Sunday, which is why so many people are using them now though... its terrible. I ordered a fender p bridge cover online and it was delivered to my tree by them, sadly it was raining and got soaked before I got home... I wd-40'ed it and didn't end up with any rust... luckily its only an $8 part... but I couldn't imagine my bass being delivered that way.
