It looks like a typical oil finish - warm with pronounced grain, etc. It can be made to have a satin finish as well as a more glossy finish depending on how many coats you use and if you buff it after it cures.

A google search found:

I can't post a picture of my bass because my camera is broken but the rosewood turns out pretty dark after several coats. I put like 6 or 7 on. You probably won't see a whole lot of difference until you've applied 2 or 3 coats. I like it. It's dark enough that it kinda looks ebony with some streaks of wood grain in it. The oil brings out the grain really well.

On of my basses has 5 coats of tru oil. didn't get darker as you can see in the pictures (1st unfinished, 2nd w/ tru oil)
it feels very very nice both on the neck and body.

Here are a few pic's of my current build, before tru-oil and after 20 coats. I also use Tried and True danish oil.
The first pic is after final sanding and before the first coat, second pic after first coat and the last pic after the bass was assembled.

Tru-Oil

Tru-Oil is my favorite finish. Remember, with thin coats the gloss you get depends on the smoothness of the wood. My first bass I sanded to a used 350 with a RO and it took 6 coats before the oil started keeping a gloss after it dried. The last bass I finished, I used an RO to 1500 grit. The first coat of oil looked like glass.

Not my thing but a nice bass nonetheless!

Here's one of mine, Wishbass #947, although it only has about 6 coats on it. I plan to redo it sometime and add 12 or 14 more after I change out the pup for the KA humbucker.
