Mouradian Guitar in Winchester is supposedly one of the best in MA. I've never been, but they have a great reputation. It's a father and son thing, I think. As Hank Hill would say, "Ask for the father." lol

What are you looking to have done?

A jack is cheap. What you're really paying for is experience and quality work.

I don't think $30 is enough; you should plan on about $60 plus parts.

bah

youd think taking a nut off, making 4 small holes, and putting pieces on would be the easiest job ever......

Wow its not like its rocket science. Any decent repair shop should have BASIC soldering skills if they detach any wires. They should also have the appropriate socket wrenches to loosen the nut......Sounds like you are just running into people who DON'T want to help you. I would say that $30 for that is more than fair.

A jack replacement? Nobody is skilled enough?

There's some other dynamic going on here.

The jack is cheap and the soldering skill for this is just slightly above "Caveman" or Rhesus monkey, so I don't see a big problem.

Maybe they're afraid of the solder or the tool is so dangerous that they might poke out an eye? Jeez.

What bass is this? On most instruments this is a total no-brainer, and the tools are nothing special.

Non capisco...

I make housecalls within reasonable distances, but you might be slightly out of my 1-tank of gas rule and too far away.

Recently went to replace the 'cables' on a bass - which turned out to be a set of strings. Thankfully it was downtown Palm Springs, so like I hadda be there anyway at the bank - and took care of it.

Hopefully they won't call me to adjust the cables next week.

LTD ESP Ex-104

i guess theres a plastic encasing of the output jack which makes it a little wierd to work with
