Title says most of it

!
Leaving aside the fact that later StingRays have a truss rod "wheel" at the heel of the neck (mine doesn't

), can anyone tell me,
from experience, how good a fit (or not

) would a 4-string, 21 fret StingRay neck be on a (4 bolt) Jazz Bass body?
As for the mounting holes, they certainly won't line up, as the neck is from a 6-bolt EBMM, so I know that I'll have to drill some more holes somewhere.
I'm assuming that by mounting the bridge a little further up the body (if required

?), I can get around the intonation problem, but I don't know how deep/wide the JB neck pocket is compared to the SR neck

.
Pretty obviously, I'm thinking of doing this because I already have most of the parts (except for the JB body), otherwise, I'd just buy the right neck and have done with it

.
So, what do you think?
