"armrest" for acoustic bass

hi guys, i have been playing some acoustic bass and when you look at the picture you see the edge is hurting my arm. not sure how to solve this problem, maybe get some sort of soft something to go over the edge ....anyone have any help.
thanks for any advice....

Get used not to rest the arm on the side but lift it a little bit.
It is a bad habit even with rounded edges because it applies pressure on tendons.
