Ashtray on an '08 American Standard P?

I've tried searching this but can't seem to find info.
Just wondering if a standard P-bass bridge cover will properly fit over the High Mass Vintage bridge on the newer Americans?

I have heard that it doesn't but I'm not positive. Never tried it myself.

Here's a pic of a factory ashtray on an '07 Am St P. Fits just fine.

That's a beautiful collection of basses and amps man! I don't think pre 2008 Fenders have the HMV bridge though. Does yours?

Thanks, that's the only pic I have handy of my P with the covers. I was comparing the prototype Reeves C400 tone stack with the C225's tone stack so I just used the basses I'm most familiar with.

Yes; my 2007 P is a new generation Am St w/ the high mass bridge; a very early one with a "7" serial number so it was built in 2007, I took delivery in early '08.
The Oly White is a give away, I don't think you could get a white MIA P in the previous "S1 Switch" generation.

This pic is what caused me to want a classic Oly White P;

I'm not the biggest Elvis fan around, but I thought the P in the context of that pic was so cool looking I started jonesing hard. I'm a "MIA" kinda guy, so I called looking for a '62 RI and Fender told me if I waited a bit I could get an Oly White Am St.
So I did; and I did.

Cool, thanks man. I'll probably dress mine(sunburst\tort\rosewood) up with an ashtray. Should look pretty classy.

I love that pic of The King!
