Silly question perhaps, but ...
If I were to get a bridge cover for my Squier VM Jazz bass, would it be disingenuous of me if I were to get a Fender "F" logo cover for it? Or, since a Squier can be technically considered a Fender (I do, anyways ) would it be OK? It's not like I'd be changing the decal on the headstock, it would still be obvious it's a Squier.
It's not a big deal either way, it's just something I was thinking about doing and wanted to get some feedback.

But to me it would look strange to have a big S on the headstock, but a big F on the cover. |

Not like it's going on an SX

Same thing. As long as you're not misrepresenting something in order to mislead a potential buyer and thereby sell it for an inflated price, who cares? IMHO |

It was indeed quite obvious they were V-Dubs and not Rolls Royces.
That's kinda my thinking here, I'm not trying to disguise anything. Like I said, I ain't changing the headstock logo, I find that kind of attempt to fool others into thinking you have a Fender when you don't really lame, even if your intent isn't to rip someone off in a phony sale.

| | | | Its fine. Go ahead with. Though personally I think someone should makeing replacement covers ala fender and gibson with nice rounded blunt edges. Instead of those nasty sharp edges on the fenders and gibsons covers for bridges and pups.
