Question Ashtray over old Badass?

I imagine I won't know until/unless I try, but there aren't any shops close by w/one to try so I ask here: Will a Fender 'ashtray' bridge cover fit over an early-model Badass bridge?

Not in the conventional sense, no. I believe it will physically fit over the bridge, but it won't be covering the bridge pickup as intended. It would look funny, and that is even if it does fit as I said.

It depends on which one. I have fit a Jazz ashtray over a Badass II before but I know that the P-bass ashtrays won't fit over them. At www.basspartsresource.com used to have oversized P-bass ashtrays that would, but I no longer see them on the site. Maybe if you troll around on ebay long enough you could find one of the oversized ones. I hope this helps. Have a good one!

Thumbs up That was quick!

Gotta love TB.I should have specified I'm talking P-Bass here. I will dig for an oversize one, & maybe email basspartsresource. Thanks!
