I have a 1990 Fender Jazz Bass plus. The are made without a pickguard and mine is bright red. I would like to add a pickguard to break up the solid red look but I am reluctant to drill holes into it. Has anyone had and experience in installing a pickguard without screws?
Thanks,
Kevin |

I meant to say cost.
Anyways I'd just use tape. I feel like that'd maybe keep up the resell value in case you want to sell.

Pretty cool! | Cool, but that sounds like it would do considerably more damage than just drilling screw holes, which the OP said he didn't want to do. |

Autobody trim tape might be a little too thick (maybe there's thinner stuff than what I've used) but man that stuff will not fail. I hung a magnetic p.up off the end of the fingerboard on an upright once and not only was it secure when it came time to remove it I wished I'd used half the amount. What a **** fight!
