B & E String Buzz Problem

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to understanding the mechanics of a guitar. Recently I picked up a Ibanez SR785 5 String bass. When playing, I get string buzz on the B and E strings when finger playing, mostly within the first 7 frets from the neck. Is there a simple adjustment that I can try before taking to a technician? Thanks.

Raise the saddles for those strings just a little.
