I wouldn't mess with it unless I was sure I could do a really good job. I'd rather have a ding than a bad touch-up job.

It would bother the heck out of me every time I picked up the bass. I would repair it. Some research on the superglue idea would be worthwhile...but if I couldn't fix the ding, I'd probably strip and refinish the entire bass. To me, road worn = needs a refin.

I would never, ever put a pedal into a bag or case...but there are many other ways a comparable incident could occur.

By the fact you posted the picture and opened a thread lets me know that the ding bothers you; it would bother me too. I would first suggest calling Michael Tobias and asking him whether you can ship it to him so he can repair it. If he does not have the time, get a recommendation from him to whom you should send it to. If he does not have any suggestions, find another respected luthier to send it to, who uses the type of finishes Mike T uses and have them repair it. The bottom line, different strokes for different folkes, you are one who doesn't want Mojo on your MTD. If you don't get it repaired it will be a constant distraction every time you pull it out of the gig bag.

All this is valid. But if one ding bothers you to the point.where you have to pay twice as much to get it fixed then to live with it. Then other issues are present. You fix this ding and what happens if you ding it again? Things happen if your playing it we are human. I say don't let it throw you. MRwink you need to chime in at any time and defuse.

As my father would kindly and wisely say when I damaged something of mine (when I was a little kid), "Now you know it's really yours!"

Some superglue or hard clear epoxy will fix that easily. Just wick it on, build it up a few coats, and lightly sand it even with the finish using high grit paper, then polish. There is no way you can get rid of it 100%, but you can make it so that it's hardly noticable.
