I routed out the body on a P to accept the bass plate of a BAII. This brought the overall mass into the body and allowed for clearance for the bell cover. The rout was shallow, just enough to bring the base level with the face of the wood. Of course if your'e averse to cutting up a pefectly good body? Then like the other guy said,SOL.
