Badass Bass II Bridge Slotted vs. Non-Slotted

Sign in to disble this ad
I know there are a lot of Badass threads but I didn't find the info I want. I recently purchased a Badass Bass II Bridge at eBay, a little bit overpriced (auction) but definitelly worth it. I noticed some things. I was looking for one of those for about 3 months and NOTHING. Here at TB I found about 6 and 4 of them were from guys that wouldn't sell outside the USA and the other two... sold like hot bread in one or two days. At eBay there where like 4, all of them in auction, basspartsresource.com, allparts, musiciansfriend... everywere they were OUT OF STOCK.

Does anybody know why's that? Why they are out of stock everywhere? Doesn't Leo Quan Corp. make enough to fill the requierments in the market? It's a company that has about 40 years in the market and they have a crappy website, crappy online customer service, and very low production... Why's that???

And another thing. The one I got is a factory slotted one. What's the difference between the factory slotted and the non-slotted? Which one is better? Which one came out first? Which one is discontinued?

Thanks, guys.

to answer your question about the low stock, i heard that Leo was in bad health for a while and that's why orders weren't filled.

The slotted is no different than the nonslotted except that you have to slot the nonslotted yourself. The slotted bridge is more expensive usually because it is already slotted. you usually only want the nonslotted if you need different spacing than what the slotted comes with.

hope that helps.

Well, thanks a lot for being the only one to answer this. I think what you're saying is totally logic. I'm glad I got a slotted one so I will not have to do extra work.
Thanks again, man.
