I'm looking for more "warm" tone. I love some warm and mid tone. Just like Tom Kennedy. Does changing the bridge will change a bit? not getting his exactly tone but just like close. Which of these bridge will help? or suggest a bridge? I have a Fender MIJ Jbass with S.Duncan pickups and J-Retro Onboard pre amp

Any effect the bridge is going to have on the tone of the bass is pretty subtle. And, change doesn't always account for better. Sometimes, it's just change.

Swapping to a more rigid, higher mass bridge MAY improve the sustain a bit and/or offer a bit more focused fundamental. It's more likely if the existing bridge is especially flimsy or otherwise poorly designed. If the bridge on the bass is fairly sturdy and well-coupled to the body, a difference is less likely.

In your case, considering what you want, you may discover that a bridge swap does absolutely nothing to get you where you want to be. Or, even worse, it could actually make the bass less mid-centered.

"warm" usually follows low mass bridges, as much as it follows bridges at all.

I've had both bridges in the OP. Ultimately my choice would be the Model A because the BA II does not allow you to achieve super low action due to its thick bottom.

I have a BA II on my Carvin LB20 and my action is about 2mm E string 12th fret. If I lower them even more (saddles) it would be unplayable. It's also a neck-thru

The quote about low-mass bridges being "warmer": I agree. It's not a big change though. I went with my BA II on top of stainless jumbo frets and a ebony fretboard...but I wanted it "hot so to speak a la Steve Harris or Geddy Lee.

I just get annoyed with rattling sound of the bridge. It sometimes make some that annoying sound. So I wanted to change my bridge, Is the Hipshot Vintage bridge is good, and will not lose that mid tone?
