badass bridge on warwick?

Sign in to disble this ad
im replacing all the eletronics on my warwick corvette, along with the nut, and i was thinkg; why not upgrade the bridge as well?

ive heard good things about badass bridges.

however, warwicks are fitted for warwick bridges only, i could take it to a local shop and have then install the badass II bridge.

but is it worth it?

What is it that you hope to gain by changing the bridge?

Or, what it is you think the BAII can give you that the Warwick bridge can't?

I mean, you can even adjust the bridge height and saddle spacing on the Warwick bridge. The tailpiece might be a pain, depending on what strings you use, but what's the problem with the stock bridge, other than that?

The stock bridge on the Warwick is going to be far more resonant than a BAII and not to mention that the Warwick bridge allows much more versatility in setting up the action.

To quote the redneck owner of a once local music store when I asked him about ordering a bass wah pedel... "Why would ya want one?"

By the way, the Warwick nut is extremely versatile. I wouldn't change it unless you are doing it because you have a Just-A-Nut II, and the posts stab your hands when you slide quickly back towards the headstock. If that IS the case, contact Dana B. Goods (google 'em), and they should send you the Just-A-Nut III... FREE!!

no stabby posts!

BadAss bridge is so overrated that people want to replace a better design for it

+1 the ONLY reason i would buy it is for how it looks. Yes it does a good job as a bridge.. but seriously... unless someone can actually show some clips proving anything..about the sustain and all that... i personally could not tell the diff in sound between the stock fender bridge... a gotoh bridge and a BAII... i like the gotoh replacement best because its easy to install(not that the badass is THAT much harder) and the saddles on stock fenders' screws scrape my hand when i use picks.
