does anyone know if the badass II that fits fenders works with string-thrus? if not, does anyone know of a good bridge that would fit?

No, it doesn't. The Badass III works with the Fender string-thrus. It's a drop-in replacement on those basses.

But remember, the Badass III only has three mounting screws, which is only on American, and not Mexi.

Question

Can someone recommend an online retailer that can sell me one of these?

I am in Canada but will order from USA if I must.

Thanks,

Try Hipshot. They make great replacement bridges and hardware, and have a number of styles. I use all of their stuff.

FYI, I just discovered a potential problem with the grounding wire on my Badass II.

The ground wire strands hade been fanned out towards the neck, but this lined up with the nameplate indentation on the back of the Badass II, so this meant the wires were probably only loosely touching the bridge. I simply oriented the strands towards the bottom and they are now clamped securely between the body and the bridge. I discovered this chasing down why my strings were picking up electical noise that went away when I touched the strings.
