Question BADASS II SHIMS

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been using a Badass II bridge on my jazz bass for about a year now but I have NEVER had shims cut for the strings to sit in. I find the strings stay put anyway and dont move atall. I have certainly not had problems with breaking strings.

I was wondering what other people think and if anyone has done the same.

Thank you all very much,

Chris

Greetings Chris,

There is a huge debate whether to cut the grooves for the BAII. Try a search on the topic I know there are some good answers. I recall the manufacturer recomends cutting the slots.

Personally I haven't cut the grooves and haven't had any problems for over a year.
