Badass II on a Warwick Corvette

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm thinking about putting a Badass II bridge on my Warwick Corvette Standard.

I love the two-peice Warwick bridge, but it's kind of a pain to string.

has anybody ever done this before and if you have what were your results?

I have a badass 2 on my Marcus and I think its harder to string than my Warwick. The warwick is the easiest bass ive had to string.

Should sound pretty sweet.
Just make sure to file grooves on the BA saddles or the peeps around here will have a conniption fit

Why do you find the Warwick a pain to string? I find the BA is a way inferior bridge to the Warwick and a host of others.

a badass won't come close to fitting on there!

you'd have to make a huge project of filling and leveling the holes left by the old parts, then planing a flat zone on the curved body to mount the thing, all for no advantage whatsoever.

let me guess, the string ball ends won't fit easily into the tailpiece part?

that can be fixed, by shimming that piece up a 16" or so and/or drilling out the slots so the fatter strings slide through more easily.

Why the F*ck would you replace a custom routed bridge? On a Warwick of all things ? Just buy another bass and go hack at that.

This sounds like a very bad idea that would require too much work for a likely less than desirable result.
