Ok, for Christmas I know I'm getting a Badass II Bridge, but I'm concerned it won't fit on my bass, due to modifications that were made by its previous owner.

The Bridge:

I see you're concerned about the bridge pickup location being so close to the bridge.
The Badass is barely longer on the front side, it doesn't look like you should have any problems there.

Looks like it will be tight. Measure from the screws on your stock bridge to the J P/U.Then measure from the screw holes on the BA II to the end of the plate to see if it makes it.
Is that a foto flame P that been modded to jazz P/U?

Agreed, looks like it will fit to me. I don't think the closeness of the new bridge to the pup should have much if any effect on the sound. The saddles will the the same distance from the pup.

It will fit. The question is whether you can reuse the existing screwholes.
