I'm thinking of trying one of these on my AmSer. Fender Jazz bass (the stock bridge on there now may see some time on my 51 reissue SCPB as a result).

I want pre-grooved saddles and a simple drop-in replacement.

Thoughts or feedback from the forum? Thanks!

I have a badassII on my MIM Jazz and like it a lot. I had a lot of rattles from the stock bridge and that is why I replaced it. I say give it a shot, if you don't like it wrap it in a $100 dollar bill and mail it to me.

Waste of money in my opinion and experience. The MIA bridge is quite good and stable, while the Badass is bulky.

Thanks for your post, I'll bet you'd be right in the long run!

Indeed it is, no problems at all with this bridge. In fact I think it might work very well on the 51 reissue SCPB too!

Sure, why not!

There is no practical benefit to changing anything. Everything is good as it is and will stay that way!

Thanks for the input.

I have a BAIII on my MIA Jazz and it does make quite a difference in tone and a bit in sustain over the stock bridge.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The stock MIA Bridge is good but then so is the BAIII.
