Go with the Gotoh 201. Its cheaper, and likewise has good reviews left and right. Plus, it comes pre-slotted, so no filing yourself. Its also a simple drop-in replacement, I was able to install and intonate mine in about 20 minutes.

yup. i had this problem just last week. my bass sat in the shop for 2 months trying to find the badass II. however i finally got one (but in nickel, so it was $110 instead of $60).

leo quan is sick and apparently not making the badass II anymore. sad day for bassists.

Given how popular they are, I doubt it.

I suspect as some others have that another company will buy the rights to the design. The question will be if QC slips or not.
