baddass v on a squire affinity

Can someone tell me if you have to drill new holes to install a Badass v bridge to replace the stock one on a Squire Affinity Jazz 5?

Please help.

the badass V is going to be way too wide for that bass. your outer strings will be off the edges of the pickups and the neck.

Sorry, I think I worded my question incorrectly, I meant to say a baddass ll for five string bass's, will it still be to wide for my Affinity Jazz 5????
