Ball Stuck in Hipshot A Bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
I just broke an A string on my bass, and so i'm trying to get it out to put in my new string, and the ball is stuck in the bridge! I tried yanking it out, prying it out with a small screwdriver (that end up breaking under the pressure,) and a pocket knife, but it won't budge! PLEASE HELP.

Well, if you've already destroyed a screw driver trying to get it out..? I would take it in. But that's just me...knowing the way thing's like that go i would just end up getting frustrated and scratch up the bridge etc. I don't know.... maybe someone will have some better advice .

Got a picture? It would be easier to advise if we knew the exact situation.

Nevermind, me and my dad ended up grabbing some pliers and it bowed to our manliness.
