Bass build

I am building a 4 string bass resonator guitar, and I am having trouble finding a vendor for a 4 string bent tailpiece, due to the Canadian Postal Strike.
My question is this, will a trapeze tailpiece change the volume any?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have emailed about this and the answer is he is not accepting any new orders. Thanks for the reply.
But I would still like to know about the hinged tailpiece; will it make much difference in sound?

Using a trapeze tailpiece will not affect the volume of the guitar. The bent tailpiece is essentially the same as the trapeze. It is important that the tailpiece is isolated from the resonator cover.
