Bass cable noise.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
I have (a friend's) bass cable TS-TS 6mm jack, 3m, Bespec with orange connectors.
Its going from bass to the mic100 preamp.
I found out that that cable acts as a microphone!!!
Let me explain. When everything is connected and turned ON if I say use middle of the cable and fit the flour with it or anything else I hear that sound on the speakers. Or if even I hit it by my finger it can be easily heard on speakers.
Can you tell me is this normal, or the cable is of low quality or maybe some other problem?
Thank You.

Does "fit the flour" mean "hit the floor?

Sounds like a bad cable to me.

Yes. Sorry for my bad English.
Cable is working with no problems, thought.
Any reccommendations about type of cable I should look for to not to have those sounds?

Yeah, just buy a good quality instrument cable. I don't know what's available in your area, but your music store should be able to recommend some.
Stay away from "Monster Cable".
