Bass cutting out then fading in.

Hi chaps.
Had a weird problem at rehearsal today. About a couple of hours in, my sound level just random cut out dor a few seconds ( from combo amp hartke a something ) then sort of faded in. I haven't had a chance to try another bass on the amp so can't say if it is bass or amp. But have deduced that it is not the cable , not the fx pedals and not the battery in the guitar (55-01 lakland ). Does it in both passive and active Modes.

Until you test whether the problem is instrument or amp, there's no point in offering any further troubleshooting ideas.

I kind of have to agree, unless you know if its the amp or bass its kind of hard to help. We could throw out tons of suggestions based on the lack of solid info.

Typically , I cannot replicate the problem using dame setup at all. Let alone isolating It on amp or instrument !
