Bass Strap Help

Sign in to disble this ad
I had cancer on the side of my neck that my bass strap sit on and I looking for something to take the weight off my shoulder on that side. Do they make a strap that can go around your waist too to take some weight off the straps? I try looking but couldn't find any. Thanks for any help.

I've seen straps that cross behind your back, so the weight would be on both shoulders--they used to advertise in the back of BassPlayer mag. And I've seen stands that will hold the bass in a playing position, so there is no weight on your shoulders. Sorry, but I can't remember the names right off--maybe somebody else will come along who knows.

Most of the time I do but sometime it's not possible because of the short sets we play and play maybe 2-4 songs.

I made my own darestrap from two straps I had and used it last night and it worked great.
