Is it possible to have a bass tremolo and an xtender key installed in the same bass? I've read that some of these tremolos are flat mounted (no springs), so I imagine you don't have a lock on the tuners. How wrong am I? Please help.
I have a Kahler bass trem and a Hipshot D-tuner on the same bass. Is it possible? Yes, but you can notice the upper three strings going SLIGHTLY sharp when you drop down to D if you have a sensitive ear. Doesn't stop me from using it though!
