BEADF#B tuning?

Does anyone here tune to this alternative tuning on their six stringer? I'm thinking about doing it so I can use standard guitar chord shapes (though I will have to transpose), but I wanted to know if there was any drawback or issue that I'm not considering, besides the major third interval thrown in amidst those fourths. I'm going to get my sixer in the next few months and I'm looking forward to trying out some chordal stuff on my bass.

Apologies if this is the wrong subforum. I wasn't sure which section tuning questions should go under.
