bent neck on a warwick b/o fretless

I purchased a used warwick 4-string fretless thumb bolt-on about three years ago from a used guitar shop. I have had to have the truss rod adjusted about two times a year, because the neck would be slightly bent. I had a good feeling that this was a result of storing the bass between my house and also in a friends basement that I felt was very humid. I took it in last Feb. to a local guy that opened a small repair shop. He was not my usual tech. He told me that my neck was permanently bent wear the neck is bolted onto the body, and was probably apparent when I purchased the guitar. I was young when I bought it and not very knowlegable in signs of an bused bass. He then adjusted my truss rod and said that it was very loose. He said that the only problem that would be a result was some light buzzing higher up on the fretboard. This was in Feb. I do not play the bass to often. I took it home played on it for about a week, then loosened the strings and put it in the case to store it for a few months. In early August I took it to a friends to jam, strapped it on and tuned it. Only to find that the neck is bent to hell and there is no sound only buzzing on the first four frets on all strings. I am lost at what to do. I having been searching the internet for weeks and can not find any where to buy a replacement neck for a warwick. Do they only make replacement necks for Fenders?? The bottom line is I love this bass and it's sound and I am lost at what to do next. Any insight...because I am about to just sell the s.o.b as is.

you probably just need to adjust your truss rod, what do you mean by bent, bowed? because that is what the truss rod should help fix. what you need to do is either a check the sticky up top and set up your bass, or b have a tech check it out. i doubt that yneed a new neck from storing it in itou s case for a few months.

It's cause you loosened your strings. you do not need to do that before storing it.
Leave it tuned to pitch for a week before first measuring, then adjusting anything.
