Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could tell me the best place in NYC to go to for bass guitar repairs. I have a p-bass and the pick ups are messed up so I need a savvy electronics technician if possible. Any recommendations would be great.
Thanks

Probably one of the best, if not the best repairmen in the business. He's worked on Jerry Jermont's bass, as well as guys like Sal Cuevas, John Benitez, and Ruben Rodriguez. Here's a phone number for the shop if you're interested: 1-718-981-3399 |

Thanks | Do you mean NYC as in Manhattan, a.k.a."the city" or NYC as in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Bronx...?
If it's Brooklyn, Main Drag Music 330 Wythe Av 718.388.6365 is where I go in Williamsburg. See John or Mark. Main Drag Music

I've also been to 30th St Guitars
236 W 30th St New York, NY 10001-4904
(212) 868-2660 They're good too.
I've been going to Main Drag not only because they're good, but they're in my neighborhood.
Good Luck!

| | | | Thanks for all the recommendations guys! I actually brought it down to Rudy's, guys were able to fix it in no time. It just had a few cold solder spots on the upper pickup. All is well now and the pricing for this fix was close to nothing |

For advanced bass work, i.e. vintage restoration, bridge reproduction, custom work of all kinds...
Scott MacDonald of Huntington, LI. Hands down. |
