Best Setups in LA?

Sign in to disble this ad
I need a setup on my 62' Precision Reissue. I play LaBella flats, 52-110. I like my action pretty low.

I have heard of Andy Brauer and Jon McClaren. Anyone have any experience with either one of these two gentlemen? Or perhaps you can point me in the direction of your go-to guy? Cost is not an issue and I live in downtown LA.

Thanks!

Norik Renson is amazing.... google his name... he has no websit and does no advertising...
Word of mouth and his toured with some "major cats" as their personal tech...
Prices are fair and worth every penny!
I've been going to him since about 1984....

An update... I took LowBSix's advice and went to Norik Renson. Wow. I am thoroughly impressed with his work.

First of all, I made the unreasonable demand that the setup be done in 24 hours. I had a show the next night and in my typical fashion, I waited until the last minute to get it done.

He had it done and ready for me the next afternoon, perfect action, great price. Can't ask for more and I won't go anywhere else the next time my bass needs work or maintenance.

Renson - + 1000 from experience, but Andy Brauer is no slouch if Norik is booked up (often).
