I have also never spun my bass around my back so I won't verify they can handle it but I bet they would be fine.

Others prefer the Schallers
Some like the beer strap locks http://www.seymourduncan.com/tonefie...th-every-beer/
While some go the other cheap route...

My MIM Jazz has started doing this.
The bolts on the strap can also work themselves loose over time.
I'm interested in trying the dunlops, seeing as they can be installed as flush-mounts, too.

In all honesty, the best strap lock is the one that keeps your bass from crashing to the stage when you're playing a gig.

| | | | Schallers for 25 years and no problems. Couldn't say that with Dunlop. Just make sure the Schaller "U" is solid side down, so it holds even if the lock fails. Surprised that I would have to mention that, but common sense is a diminishing resource. |

Really preference. I like the button-release of the Dunlops since that's what I've primarily been using the last 13 and some-odd years. |
