Best way to cut a pickguard

I currently have a Jazz pickguard, and I plan on putting P pickups where the neck Jazz was. But obviously, they wont fit with the pickguard. So I need some way to cut out part of the pickguard so the P pickup will fit. I really don't care how bad it looks, I just want them to be able to fit. So what would be the best tool for this?

I was considering using a Dremel, but I don't know what tip to use, if anyone can help with that.
