Best way to polish a scratchy black finish?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I just won this L2000 bass body on ebay, and want to know the best way or product to use to help get the finish more consistent or polish the clear coat scratches out? I wouldnt mind if polishing it dulls it out a bit either, just dont want the scratches. thanks

BTW the body is signed by Leo himself back 1991, not sure what thats worth?

I've had a bit of luck with Meguiar's Scratch X fine scratch and swirl remover. You have to be patient and work at it. Black's a trough one to get right. I'm not sure I'd go for another black body but G&Ls are great!
