Body/neck joint - body holes size?

Screws on my jazz doesn't slip through the body (when mounted to the neck).
Holes are as tight as those on the neck.
If I redrill body holes (make them bigger) would this result in better, tighter neck to the body joint? It seems like screws are bolted into the body now, instead of pulling neck to the body?
Any thoughts?
Sorry if this was discussed already, couldn't find anything on this one, thanks.

Yes you will get a better joint if you open the body holes up. You are correct that when the screws thread through the body they can not clamp the neck down very tight. Do it.
