Question Brand New Ibanez Bass, Fret Buzz problem.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I am getting back into the wonderful world of the bass guitar after many years away, I was just getting into the bass and had to put it on hold for way too long. I just picked up a brand new Ibanez SRX390, while testing at the music store I noticed no buzz what so ever on the top string. I got it home and decided to mess around and noticed a horrible buzz in the top string whether in E or D#. I hit every note just behind the fret but it still buzzes. Is this an adjustment on the bridge I need to do? or is there some other fix for it?
Thanks in advance.

I also play through an ampeg Ba-115

try bridge adjustment.

my tech-guy, he also takes the blunt end of a screw driver and smashes the fret back in.

other than that, You should probably take it into a tech.

Yes it is a 4 string bolt on. Yes I am tunning to drop d and It has considerable buzz. How would I take the string in? How do I measure the relief ? All help will be appreciate, Newbie here.
