Brice fretless setup

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. I'm looking for some help fixing a problem with my new Brice Z6 fretless, and it seems that ever tech I know of in town is MIA for a few days.

I can't get the action on this thing nearly as low as I'd like it. I have the saddles as low as they will go, the neck as straight as I can have it before it buzzes. The lowest string is low enough, but the action of each string is higher than the one before it, the high C is virtually unplayable. I had a suggestion to shim the neck, but it's a neck-thru. Does anyone have any idea what my options are?

Sounds alot like a twisted neck... The neck might need leveling, and someone might be able to recess the bridge, or swap it for a different model.

Check the neck with a straightedge first.
