what is the correct break angle one should have at the bridge !

i recently dropped my action at the bridge and now i think the break angle might be a bit to big ! how does a sharper break angle improve the sound on ones bass!

8.357 degrees

Celsius.

But seriously - I would consider an absolute minumum break angle of about 5 degrees. That is what is usually specified for the nut and the bridge should also be at least that much. I prefer quite a bit more break than that.

With a sharper break angle there's more downward pressure from the string onto the bridge, giving more positive contact, thus transferring vibrations better.
