Bridge Cover question.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, i'm new to these fourums. My bass is a Squier CV P Bass and just got a Fender Brand Bridge cover and Pickgaurd. The Pickgaurd looks like it's gonna fit (holes line up and all) but the bridgecover just barley, less then a mm, hits the bridge/saddle on either side, but doesn't hit the strings. Can I still screw it down? Or should it not be touching the bridge at all.

Sorry if this has been asked before..

yeah... the higher mass bridge takes up more space under the cover than a regular "vintage style" bridge.
It looks good, man!

Did you have drill a hole on that body to put that cover on?

Holes are required.

You're fortunate (to the OP) in that you don't have the stock bridge that I have on my P-bass. No cover will fit it at all.

This is STOCK and as of yet no-one has ever seen one quite like it. I took this new bass outta the box it came in too:::
