Bridge for F#...

Sign in to disble this ad
As some of you recall, I recently purchased a brand new ESP B-206SM and I wanted to set it up for F# for an experiment. I'm playing in a rather technical band using 8-strings. I want to try using F# just to see how it sounds.

I'm getting a new rig to run it through. I have an 8x10, and am getting an Ampeg SVP-1600 for dirt cheap.

My concern is my bridge. Will it be big enough to be filed? or will I have to get a new bridge? My ESP has black nickel hardware which I don't want to have to replace. I like the color of the hardware a lot.

What is the best way about going through this process? A local store is having a guitar setup day where they are setting things up for dirt cheap. I want to get in on that day and get it set up.

Most F# strings ive seen (on the web) usually appear to be taperwound, so you might not even need to file it.
