How about a little respect for people's beliefs, dude? This is a place to talk about basses, not a place to grandstand about your religious beliefs or lack thereof. He's got a legitimate concern about the Badass. He's not preaching his religion. So don't preach your lack of it.

Frugle.

I have the 201 on an SX Jazz clone and I am VERY impressed with it. I have BAII's on 2 other jazz basses and haven't really seen much difference (of course they are different beasts).

FWIW, I felt a little funny when my parents saw my bass recently and my Dad went "Wo, that's a huge chunk of metal there, what's it say on it?" I told him, but honestly felt a little awkward. Keep in mind that I am 34 years old.

If you're not too comfortable with the name on the bridge, you could try covering it up as described, or just go with the Gotoh... my $.02

An alternate is the Schaller 2000, also available from AllParts. A bit spendy, but a very nice bridge that also drops right onto the Fender 5 hole mounting pattern. Very heavy, vere nice built - I just put one on my PJ, and really like it . . .

I thought about that, but I want the bass to still look good.. covering it with tape takes away from the beauty of the bass...
