Bridge Mounting Screws!

Sign in to disble this ad
I am replacing my bridge with the individual saddle gotoh. however i am missing the mounting screws for the bridge. I believe they are 1' (2.54mm) in length and I can't seem to get them from all the usual suspects.

Any suggestion on where to get them?

I've got a bag of the stupid things...look like #6, 1" long, black finish. I can spare some or you can check out www.allparts.com.

Geez. Guitar screws are not some magical, voodoo-enhanced parts. You can go to your local music store and order them for three buck a piece, or, if you have a good hardware store in your neighborhood, you can just sort through the drawers there, and buy them for a few pennies each.

As long as they fit, there is nothing "musical" about screws. Don't be a sucker.

True....some hardware stores are hit 'n miss, though. Fellow TBer walterw (Alpha Music) stocks a complete inventory of replacement parts on display....the majority from AllParts!

Yeah, I know about AllParts, WD, and so on. Until I retired a couple of years ago, I was the head buyer for a chain of music stores. I did that for about twenty years. I like Wendy (the "W" in WD) a lot. She's a hoot. WD sells real, steel screws. You have to be careful with AllParts. Some of them are plated pot metal.

But, to be fair, either company would rather be selling bridges, machines, and so on, than screws.
