Bridge Needed: 17mm String Spacing

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a bridge suggestions. Here is my wish list:
  • 4 string
  • 17mm (to 17.5mm) string to string spacing (about 2-1/6" overall)
  • String through body
  • "Fender" appearance preferred, if possible (Badass style is a bit too modern, Gotoh 201 style would be OK)
  • Chrome

Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the Hipshot A Style for Fender that are string through? The string spacing is adjustable on each saddle.

The Hipshot A is basically the only bridge that I've found that would work. I guess I'm trying to see if there are other options out there. Thanks!

Anyone have another suggestion?

What about a "standard fender vintage" style bridge with narrower than normal spacing?

Does such a bridge exist?

What about single saddles? You can put them wherever you want and spacing can go from 16mm.

Functionally this would work. Aesthetically, nope. The Hipshot A looks much more at home on a traditional Fender style bass than individual saddles would.

Maybe a Fender bridge with the rčtro-style saddles will work?
